VAP at University of Central Florida
The Physics Department at the University of Central Florida anticipates announcing an opening for a post-doc or Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2015 – 2016 academic year, with possible renewal depending on performance and available funding. We are interested in candidates with a Ph.D. in physics (by August 8, 2015) and experience in physics education research. The UCF Physics Department is involved in several education related projects, with research grants funded through TUES, WIDER and IUSE and programs funded by PhysTEC and the APS Bridge Program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in these projects, as well as our successful Learning Assistant Program, with the possibility to teach physics and/or pedagogy courses. Some additional details about PER at UCF are available at Jackie Chini’s website (http://physics.cos.ucf.edu/chiniperg/home/research/), and you may contact her at jchini@ucf.edu to express interest or to ask questions.
