TT and T at Texas Tech
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas Tech University (TTU) invites applications for two tenure-track positions in physics education research (PER) beginning Fall 2017. Successful candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Physics Department. Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in physics education research, physics or an equivalent field. We seek candidates who can extend or complement existing areas of research, which span basic and applied areas, including curriculum development and assessment. The successful candidate will also have a record of scholarly activity, demonstrate a commitment to the teaching of evidence-based materials and be expected to obtain external funding for research. In addition, we expect the candidate to participate in interdisciplinary collaborations and service, and build a national and international reputation in PER.
