The Department of Physics and Astronomy (physics.cofc.edu) at the College of Charleston invites applications for a physics lab manager position to begin immediately. Candidates must have a very good knowledge of physics and physics instruction at an undergraduate level and should have the ability to do simple electrical and mechanical repairs on instructional laboratory equipment. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and operating systems is considered a plus. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills. A BS +18 graduate hours in physics or a closely related field is required. A Master’s degree in physics or closely related field is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations will be a plus. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
