Assistant Visiting Professor of Physics
The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the College of Arts and Sciences at Widener University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2016. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of conversion to a tenure-track position beginning August 2017.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses for non-science majors, science majors, engineering majors, and physics majors, including lecture and lab courses at all levels of undergraduate physics. The successful candidate will develop an active on-campus research program involving undergraduates.
Job Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a PhD or terminal degree in Physics. ABD will be accepted if PhD is expected by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates with experimental fields of research.
