Physics Instructor

Position Description:
The position is a permanent, tenure-track, academic year contract with a negotiable start date.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach 30-32 credit hours of Physics and related courses, depending upon the successful applicant’s background/interest, and the needs of the College. This position will be responsible for demonstrating academic excellence through its required duties of course instruction and assessment, curriculum development, student advising and evaluation, governance participation and service to the
college, as well as professional development. Instructors may be scheduled to teach classes during days, evenings, and/or online.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have at minimum a Master’s degree in Physics, or a closely related field with a strong physics foundation, and experience teaching Physics to undergraduates. Preferred qualifications include at least 9 graduate semester hours in Chemistry or another science discipline.

Salary: $38,030-$48,399 annually
