| Position/Job Summary | The Ithaca College Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a full-time, three-year renewable teaching position as Assistant Professor beginning August 16, 2017. We seek a conscientious teacher, active in the physics/astronomy community, who will thrive in a four-year comprehensive institution where close contact and collaboration with students are the norm. |

| Department description | The Department is dedicated to teaching and learning in a collaborative environment that is informed by recent Physics Education Research. For example, we teach Introduction to Physics I and II in a Studio Physics/SCALE-UP style classroom and use student-centered, active-learning techniques. Faculty members are also expected to offer office hours, grade assignments, and participate in activities of the Department and the College. |
