2-Year Lectureship, University of Rhode Island

The Physics Department of the University of Rhode Island invites applications for the position of lecturer in Physics to begin in the Fall 2017 semester. This position is full-time academic year; limited to 06-23-2018 with extension contingent upon funding approval. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He or she will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues.

A teaching load of 12 credits per semester. Potential teaching assignments include introductory physics, radiation detection (graduate level), and upper division physics courses. Supervision of a senior project. Supervision of undergraduate labs and teaching assistants. Service on departmental and university committees.
