Job Title: Physics, Assistant Professor (AA18020)

Salary: $51,396.00 - $138,962.00 annually

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate level physics courses including laboratories.
A typical standard teaching load is 24 credits per year, (3-4 courses each semester including laboratory courses).
Conduct research and scholarly activities and engage students in those activities.
Advise and mentor students and contribute to student growth.
Contribute to curricula development.
Participate in service to the department, college, university and community.

 Required Qualifications:
PhD degree in Physics.
Demonstrated passion for teaching and student success.
Current research activities.
Postdoctoral research experience or evidence of established research.

 Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success teaching physics.
Superior communication skills including oral and written presentations.
Experience teaching physics laboratory courses and supervising student teaching assistants.
Ability to continue research on campus involving MSU students.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment

The salary range denoted above is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
