Job Description
Incumbent’s primary responsibility is the teaching of courses in associate degree, diploma, or certificate programs. Teaching faculty must follow established policies and procedures and are encouraged to participate in appropriate organizations and activities.

Incumbent is responsible for the teaching of assigned courses in the Science Department at assigned sites as well as the other duties and responsibilities inherent in this position. Incumbent reports to the Chairperson of the Science Department at the Jackson County Campus

Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) Master’s degree in Physics or Master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen graduate semester hours in physics from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. (M2) Teaching experience. (M3) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. (M4) Familiarity with Internet, email, and word processing functions.

Preferred Qualifications
(D1) Master’s degree or higher in Physics. (D2) Experience in teaching at the community college and/or college-level. (D3) Multi-media instructional delivery experience. (D4) Functional knowledge of online teaching.
