The University is seeking a full-time (nine-month) Physics Faculty Member, beginning in the Fall semester of 2017. Rank is open. Compensation is competitive among the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

Responsibilities may include:
Teaching a range of undergraduate physics courses in support of engineering, physical science, chemistry, and biology programs;
Working with the Chemistry/Physical Science Department to staff some chemistry courses;
Advising of students majoring in science and engineering and ensuring that their academic progress meets requirements set by the institution, working with students to encourage professional development;
Supporting departmental efforts for continued improvement of programs;
Serving the university through faculty committee participation.
Qualifications:
Interview preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
An Evangelical Christian confession of faith and experience is required (Statement of Faith required at application). Membership in the Church of the Nazarene preferred;
A graduate degree in Physics or a closely related field is required. An earned Ph.D. in Physics is preferred;
Candidates with industry experience are particularly desirable;
Strong presentation skills, and commitment to quality classroom instruction and student learning;
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
