TT at Columbia Basin

Columbia Basin College seeks an outstanding and enthusiastic individual who can teach courses in Physics. This is a full-time, tenure track position in the Math/Science Division at Columbia Basin College. Duties will include instructing community college physics courses designed for science and engineering majors as well as for non-science majors. Lab sections, and possibly including those corresponding to lecture courses taught by other faculty, will be required. The candidate must also be prepared to teach basic community college math and engineering courses including statics and dynamics.

Required Qualifications:
·Master's degree in Physics;
·Demonstrated ability to work positively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and ethnicity;
·Ability and interest to participate in learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness efforts;
·Demonstrated ability to pursue creative and/or scholarly endeavors in area of expertise;
·Demonstrated ability to get students excited about learning;
·Experience with computer applications for instructional purposes; e.g. PowerPoint, Word, and Internet.

Desired Qualifications:
·Ph.D. in Physics or related field;
·College-level teaching experience.
