Two STEM positions at Passaic County Community College

DIRECTOR OF STEM INITIATIVE
A full-time administrator with expertise in curricular and instructional design is needed to oversee STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education reform. He or she will work with faculty to strengthen STEM courses, coordinate professional development activities, and lead curricular alignment and mapping activities with school districts. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and administrative skills are necessary for this position. A Master's degree in Education or a STEM- related field is required; at least seven years of work experience in education, including curricular and instructional design, also required. STEM CENTER COORDINATOR
A full-time coordinator is needed to oversee the daily operation of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Learning Center, including the student services area and Interdisciplinary Laboratory. He or she will: coordinate tutorial and support services; hire and train Learning Specialists / Tutors; and coordinate faculty and peer mentoring activities. Candidates must have experience with online learning technology in order to implement the e-tutoring component of the project. A Master's degree in Education or STEM-related field is required; at least three years of administrative experience in education also required.
