Head of School of Education (Ref 09/016), Faculty of Education, Health and Social Sciences, Salary £64,061 - £72,100

As part of its development programme and associated academic restructuring, University of the West of Scotland is offering these exciting new opportunities and the chance to play a key role in the University’s ambitious plans for the future.

In this role, reporting to Dean of Faculty, you will lead the development of a School providing academic leadership as a core part of your role within the Faculty’s senior management team. You will shape and implement a structure that ensures consistently high standards of student learning, research and knowledge transfer at local, national and international level.

You will contribute to successful delivery of the University’s strategic plan and inspire our talented staff to deliver ambitious academic development programmes which significantly enhance the experience of our students and reinforce our position as one of the UK’s most dynamic universities.

A proven track record of outstanding achievement in your discipline, and of successfully managing change, developing productive partnerships and engaging colleagues in the delivery of strategic initiatives will be essential.
