Physics: applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Physics as well as Lecturer. The School of Science and Engineering is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching, scholarship, and service to the excellence of the academic community. Teaching is in English and familiarity with the American system of higher education is a must.
Required qualifications include a university degree in Physics by September 2009, a strong Physics background, demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, and promise of continued scholarly and professional growth. Candidates must have excellent teaching recommendations, a strong commitment to teaching and using innovative methods of instruction and assessment, and a demonstrated potential to scholarly activity. In addition, those candidates applying at the associate level should have an established reputation for pedagogical and scholarly excellence and be able to provide leadership in their area of expertise.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary offers are determined based on a standard grid linked to rank, with a number of additional allowances possible. The very low cost of living in our area make our offers competitive.
