Instructor at Santa Monica Community College

DUTIES: Teach lecture and laboratory physics courses from the descriptive through calculus based level; responsible for the development of physics laboratory experiments and demonstrations; maintain office hours; participate in the development and evaluation of course materials, selection of textbooks, academic and career advisement, staff development programs and college departmental, and faculty organization activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in physics, astronomy or astrophysics; OR Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy and Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics; ORThe equivalent* OR Possession of an appropriate valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the specified subject area(s).
