TT at Univ of Vermont

The University of Vermont invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental condensed matter/materials physics at the Assistant Professor level, with a starting date of August 2014. The University of Vermont is the principal research institution in Vermont and is currently in a period of dynamic growth. The University of Vermont recently identified three "Spires of Excellence" in which it will strategically focus institutional investments and growth over the next several years (uvm.edu/~tri/). These include Neuroscience, Behavior and Health; Complex Systems; and Food Systems. Candidates whose research, scholarship, and/or creative work align or intersect with the Complex Systems Transdisciplinary Research Initiative (see uvm.edu/~cmplxsys/) are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics, postdoctoral research experience, and outstanding potential to perform research in experimental condensed matter/materials physics.
