The Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time, calendar-year, non-tenure track position at the rank of Teaching Instructor/ beginning September 1, 2019. The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics or closely related disciplines and demonstrated excellence in lecture and laboratory course instruction and development. The successful applicant will be expected to teach and develop introductory physics courses. Additionally, the position will be responsible for all aspects of the instructional Physics laboratories and associated Physics education initiatives, including, but not limited to, overseeing operations, training Physics instructors, directing and coordinating the Learning Assistants Program, and writing proposals for internal and external support. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching through advancing and supporting initiatives that deepen pedagogical knowledge and sustain motivated learning in all students.
