The Department of Chemistry and Physics at the University of New England seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Lecturer in Physics. The start date for the position is August 19, 2019.
This position will teach sections of a year-long General Physics sequence in a student-centered studio setting. The Department seeks candidates with a strong commitment to teaching general physics to undergraduates. Candidates who can connect relevant biological content to a physics foundation of mechanics, electricity, magnetism, fluids, and waves are desirable.
A master’s or doctoral degree in Physics or a closely related field is required by the time of appointment. Individuals with undergraduate teaching experience, a background in physics education research, and/or experience with guided inquiry techniques are especially encouraged to apply.
