The Physics & Astronomy Department of Butler University invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the level of Instructor to begin in August 2019. This is a one-year position, with possibility of continued re-appointment.

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Physics or Astrophysics are preferred, although candidates with a Master’s in one of these disciplines will receive consideration. The successful candidate will teach an introductory algebra-based physics course with one laboratory section, as well as a physical science or astronomy course for non-science majors, including two laboratory sections per semester. The successful candidate will also work with undergraduate students on research projects in physics, astronomy or physics-education.
