Tufts University Department of Education seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track, faculty member for a two-year, renewable position in Educational Assessment. The starting date is September 1, 2010. The full-time faculty member will also serve as the School of Arts and Sciences Director of Assessment. Requirements at the time of the appointment include: a doctoral degree in education, psychology, or assessment and measurement; a specialization in assessment; experience in fields such as statistics, educational administration, and assessment; demonstrated effectiveness in training, research design, oral presentation, and collaborative problem solving; and prior experience in institutional research and outcomes assessment in higher education.
Preferable qualities of a successful candidate are:
- Prior experience teaching at the higher education level.
- Familiarity with accreditation; strong preference will be afforded to applicants with familiarity with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), or another college and university accrediting association.
- Demonstrated ability to work in groups and build consensus.
