TT at University of Michigan

The Physics Department at the University of Michigan invites applications for an anticipated faculty position with a September 2011 starting date. The tenured or tenure-track appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level and carries a university-year appointment. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. We particularly seek theorists or experimentalists working in areas of Astrophysics, Atomic/AMO, Biological, Condensed Matter, High Energy and Nuclear/Subatomic Physics, but exceptional candidates will be considered in any area of current interest to the Department. The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent research program of international stature and to contribute effectively to the Department's undergraduate and graduate teaching programs.
