ACT, Inc. is currently inviting qualified candidates with a Master's degree and at least 4-6 years experience teaching math or science at the middle school or high school level to apply for the position of Senior Test Development Associate, Classroom Connections. This position will be located at our national headquarters office in Iowa City, Iowa.

The Senior Test Development Associate will plan, conduct, and coordinate the design and development of middle school and high school materials that will be used to enhance teachers' ability to increase the rigor of their classrooms. The person in this position will also assist in the design and development of outreach materials that will enhance the use of test results and strengthen the instruction-assessment link. Other typical work-related activities include:
* Coordinate the development process, manage the work flow, oversee assignments, monitor progress, and ensure that timelines are met.
* Serve in a review capacity of materials to ensure adherence to quality, rigor, and relevance.
* Maintain current knowledge of the curricula, instruction, and assessment link and stay abreast of trends.
* Maintain documentation of all products and procedures and prepare written reports.
* Communicate with manager regarding production problems and resolve the problems by working with department staff.
* Represent ACT at conferences, client presentations, and workshops.
* Develop work performance plans and evaluate performance of supervised staff.
Qualified candidates must have a Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in curriculum and instruction or a related field; 4-6 years middle school and/or high school math or science teaching experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience helpful, especially curriculum development or professional development experience. Excellent communication (both verbal and writing), organization, and interpersonal skills and proficiency with personal computers also required.
