The School of Science and Technology is an exciting multi-disciplinary environment for learning, teaching and research. Our portfolio of undergraduate courses covers the school’s core disciplines of Physics, Mathematics, Biosciences, Chemistry, Forensics, Sports Science, Computing and Technology. Our research is multi-disciplinary and was highly rated in RAE2008. In our teaching and research we aim to be exciting, innovative and relevant.
We are seeking to appoint a physicist or applied mathematician with excellent communication and presentation skills to undertake teaching and associated duties on first or second year undergraduate modules in physics and mathematics. The work could, for example, involve giving lectures or seminars on mathematics or statistics for first year students on physics or other science programmes, teaching topics such as sound or microscopy, or taking IT or instrumentation classes. The post is for a fixed term of nine months.
