Kennesaw State University (KSU) is seeking applicants for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry Education in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The department currently employs three full-time, tenure-track chemistry educators and there are an additional six faculty members engaged in science education in the Department of Biology and Physics. The position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemistry Education or Science Education, with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry or science education. Preference may be given to a candidate with a demonstrated interest in secondary chemistry teacher preparation. Teaching assignments may include introductory chemistry courses, science methods courses, field supervision and the development of courses to support existing programs. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching. Additionally, applicants will be expected to have an active research program in chemical education or science education resulting in scholarship.
