POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
POSITION: The College of Education, School of Educational Studies, Oklahoma State University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational technology (EDTC), specifically in areas appropriate to the candidate's expertise and the program needs. Additional responsibilities will include engagement in scholarly activity, supervising graduate students, and serving as a resource to the school, college, and university. A normal teaching load is generally five courses per nine-month academic year. This position is assigned to the Stillwater campus; however, EDTC faculty may also teach on the Tulsa campus and in an online delivery format as well.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive land-grant university with an enrollment of more than 23,000 students. The university offers 86 programs of study leading to a bachelor's degree, 70 master's programs and 46 programs at the doctoral levels at campuses in Stillwater and Tulsa. The campus in Stillwater is approximately 60 miles from both the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metropolitan areas. EDTC courses serve undergraduate programs in the OSU Professional Education Unit. The program also offers a M.S. in Educational Technology and a Ph.D. in Education with an Educational Technology option.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications include an earned doctorate in relevant area, a record of scholarly productivity commensurate with the candidate's level of experience, and potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates will have expertise in theories, technologies, and methods associated with Educational Technology, Instructional Design, and/or School Library Media. Candidates at the Associate level will have an established record of productivity commensurate with the expectations of a Carnegie Research University with high research activity.
