Tomlinson Chair in Science Education
The Faculty of Science, McGill University invites
nominations and applications for the Tomlinson
Chair in Science Education. The Chair was en-
dowed by Dr. Richard H. Tomlinson in 2002 as
part of the Tomlinson Project in University Level
Science Education.
The Chair’s mandate is to conduct research and
teaching that will advance the understanding and
practice of science education, preferably universi-
ty level science education.. The candidate should
hold a Ph.D. in a science discipline and have
demonstrated excellence in scholarship in science
as well as in science education. The Chair will
take up a tenured or tenure-track appointment at
the Associate or Full Professor level in one of departments of the Faculty of Science.
Significant funding will be accessible through
the Tomlinson Project in University Level Science
Education, and the candidate is also expected to
attract external research funding.

curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research
and teaching interests and the names of three
references, and should be sent before January 15,
