The Department of Physics at the University of Mary Washington invites applications for a full time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Physics starting August 16, 2012. Candidates must be committed to teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. The usual teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Other responsibilities include engagement in scholarly activities with undergraduate participation, and service to the department and the university.
Required: A Ph.D. in Physics. Completion of Ph.D. required by August 15, 2012.
Preferred: Applicants with an interest in course development with accompanying labs are highly valued by the department and will be given a preference.
