Assistant or Associate Professor Position in STEM Education

We invite applications for a tenured or tenure-track position in STEM Education at the assistant/associate level preferably beginning Fall 2011. Candidates must have a doctorate in Science Education or Mathematics Education or a related field such as Learning Sciences (ABDs near completion will be considered), as well as demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching commensurate to the applicant’s level of entry. Teaching experience at grades K-12 or with diverse student populations is desirable. The position involves engaging in an active program of research, teaching primarily at the graduate level, providing service to the university, and developing partnerships in science and mathematics education across university departments and with area schools. The successful candidate will join an active research group at the Kaput Center for Research and Innovation in STEM Education and will be a key academic partner in the implementation of science and mathematics teacher preparation programs and assist in the delivery of a doctoral program.
