TT at Fordham University

The Department of Physics at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in the Fall of 2012. The applicant must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in physics and engineering physics. Additionally, the ability to develop innovative courses will be considered a plus. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics with post-doctoral experience and strong publication record. The successful applicant is expected to carry out a research program with the involvement of undergraduates. Current areas of research are mesoscopic physics (theory), computational physics, polymers, liquid crystals, laser physics, quantum optics, intermediate energy nuclear theory, and particle physics (chiral perturbation theory, lattice QCD). Our location in New York City provides many opportunities for collaborative research.
