Physics and Mathematics Teacher

Requirements: EdD in Science Education with graduate level courses in Physics and Mathematics or PhD in Physics from an accredited university. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching experience in both disciplines at the secondary level, experience in research, and proven technological expertise in the classroom during the process of teaching and learning. Additional requirement: The candidate must be available to be interviewed and conduct a demonstration class to the teaching staff; that reflects his or her research and competence in the use of technology. Responsibilities: Teach physics and mathematics courses at the secondary level, participation in committees at the College of Education and the Campus, coordination of clubs and other student activities, daily supervision of underage students and the development of innovative projects, research and publication, among other responsibilities inherent to the teaching position.

Evaluation will start on April 30, 2013 and applications will be received until the position is filled.
