FT Math/Phys, Bethany College KS

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
An enthusiastic, student- and learning-centered approach to teaching is required. Teaching responsibilities include the development and teaching of introductory level undergraduate Physics and Mathematics courses as well as managing Physics labs. The faculty will be an important contributor to the Bethany interdisciplinary core curriculum. Other responsibilities include student advising and mentoring, active participation in recruitment of students, participation in Departmental and campus committees, and overseeing Math/Science tutoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master in Physics, Physics Education, Math or Math Education is required; Ph.D is preferred. Teaching experience at the college level is expected.

SALARY:
Contingent upon qualifications.

DEPARTMENT:

This position is in the Department of Mathematics & Physics. The department provides majors in 3+2 Engineering, Mathematics, and Math teaching. The successful candidate will teach courses that are required for these majors, and optional for non-majors seeking general education requirements.
