Essential Functions

The Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis seeks a full time (12 month) lecturer
 to teach two sections of an active-learning introductory calculus-based physics sequence, beginning in Fall 2015.
 Additional responsibilities may include teaching introductory or upper-level undergraduate laboratories, physics outreach,
and other departmental responsibilities, as needed. The position requires regular collaboration with other faculty
 and staff members in the department, particularly those in introductory physics.
This non-tenure-track faculty position is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years.
Required Qualifications

A successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in physics, teaching experience, and should have demonstrated a strong interest
 in physics education. Knowledge of current pedagogical trends is also desirable.
