Job Description
Indiana University East, Richmond, IN, invites applications for anticipated full-time faculty position for Physics, commencing August 1, 2015. Candidates for all full-time faculty positions must demonstrate a strong desire to excel in teaching and provide ongoing support for student success, in and out of the classroom. Online delivery of programs is an increasingly important aspect of IU East enrollment strategy. Candidates for tenure-track positions must also have an interest in building a sustainable program of research, scholarship and/or creative activity.
This position is for the academic year, long-term lecturer position.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Teach introductory physics courses. In addition to a two-semester introductory physics course (with laboratory), which supports science and technology programs and general education requirements, teaching responsibilities may include other physics, chemistry and/or related courses compatible with interests and background.
  • Responsibilities also include student advising and campus service as an expectation; interacting with a diverse student and faculty community.

  • Master's degree in Physics or related area is required for lecturer position.
