Instructor at Zane State College

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: facilitating learning through providing learner-centered classroom and web-based instruction, laboratory management, advising students and evaluating their performance, cooperatively participating in curriculum development, assessing learning outcomes, and maintaining records. Other responsibilities include participating in professional development activities, performing community service, and contributing to College governance through active participation on various teams and committees.

Candidates must possess an earned master’s degree in physics or a master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 27 quarter or 18 semester hours in physics from an accredited institution. Prior teaching experience, preferably in a two-year college setting, is strongly preferred. Experience with curriculum development using instructional technology and distance learning is strongly preferred. Background in engineering or chemistry a plus. The successful candidate will be available to teach evenings and/or weekend courses as assigned.
