Tenure-Track at Marymount University

The Department of Biology & Physical Sciences at Marymount University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physics beginning August 2011. Teaching requirements include calculus-based physics, astronomy, introduction to physical science, and possibly geology.

Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester, academic advising, engaging in research and other scholarly activities, participating in curriculum and program development, and serving on academic committees.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in teaching at the undergraduate level and the ability to publish research in the field.
