Full-time Faculty at Warren Wilson

Warren Wilson College invites applications for an entry-level faculty position in physics. This is a full-time, extended contract eligible faculty position to begin July 1, 2012. The position requires a PhD in physics or a related field (in hand by August 1, 2012).

The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Primary teaching responsibilities will include introductory physics lectures and labs and general education courses for non-majors. A strong interest in developing courses that complement our current offerings in Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Biology and/or Math is desirable. Additional responsibilities will include the direction of undergraduate research projects and providing academic advising to majors and/or first year students.
