Two 1-year VAPs at Gettysburg College


The Department of Physics at Gettysburg College invites applications for two one-year appointments, one as a sabbatical replacement and the other as a leave replacement, both beginning August 2013. We seek individuals who have a genuine interest in teaching within the liberal arts environment to teach three courses per semester, one of which will be “Mathematical Methods in Physics” and one course possibly being an advanced laboratory course for upper-level physics majors. Candidates should have a doctorate in physics, astronomy, or a closely allied field.
Gettysburg College is a highly selective liberal arts college located within 90 minutes of the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. Established in 1832, the College has a rich history and is situated on a 220-acre campus with an enrollment of over 2,600 students.
