TT at Harper College Palatine IL

Job Description: Full-time, tenure track position in the Physics program. Preferred candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and strong knowledge of microcomputer based labs and lab development. Ability to teach in astronomy is a plus.

Duties of Position: Maintains highest possible standards of classroom instruction. Applies innovative teaching and learning pedagogies; demonstrates understanding of unique needs of physics transfer students.

Education Requirements: A Master's degree in Physics is required. PhD preferred.

Experience Requirements: Post secondary teaching experience is required. Two years of community college teaching experience is preferred. Teaching responsibilities beyond those typical of a teaching assistant is preferred.
