TT at Sul Ross State, TX

Appointment Date: Fall, 2014
Salary: Commensurate upon experience and education
Requirements: Ph.D.; Specialization in Astronomy and Physics; able to utilize planetarium and telescopes for instruction; able to complement existing strengths in mathematics; demonstrated interest in student research and developing distance education classes.

Preferred: Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Responsibilities: Course responsibilities include Introductory Astronomy and Physics courses, as well as upper-level courses in his or her specialty. Position is Security Sensitive.

Department: The Department of Biology, Geology, and Physical Sciences: Offers BS and MS degrees in biology and geology, as well a BS in Chemistry. Service courses in Astronomy, Physics, and Physical Sciences are additionally offered. The graduate program enrolls approximately thirty five students, primarily thesis seeking.
