Instructor of Physics:
The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Indiana State University seeks applications for an instructor position beginning August 2015. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or physics education; ABD candidates will also be considered. This position is a nine-month appointment on a three-year renewable contract with a competitive salary and benefits. Principal responsibilities will include teaching a combination of lecture and laboratory courses, with some mix of general physics, general education physics, and astronomy. Additional responsibilities will include collaboration with colleagues on updating and developing experiments. Summer teaching opportunities are usually available.
Basic Purpose & Scope:

Additional responsibilities will include collaboration with colleagues on updating and developing experiments. The normal teaching load for instructors is 5:5 (15 hours per semester).
