3-Year Renewable at Loyola University Chicago

Duties and Responsibilities: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics, invites candidates for a three-year renewable appointment for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer beginning Academic Year 2015-2016. The department serves more than 120 majors and minors and has concentrations in the areas of physics, biophysics, theoretical physics, dual-degree engineering and education. The teaching responsibilities each semester shall include several sections of College Physics labs I or II and may include sections of advanced labs or other courses. In addition, the successful candidate will also direct a section of Freshman Projects each Spring semester, a one-credit research course for first-year physics students. 

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a Masters degree or higher in physics or a related field. Candidates for the position must clearly demonstrate the potential for continued excellence in teaching and have a record of distinguished teaching and student mentorship.
