Cluster Hire at CSU-Dominguez Hills

California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Announces New Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE). Funded in part by a donation from the Wallis Annenberg Foundation, CSUDH's Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE) seeks to become a leader in investigating and creating effective innovative pedagogies, enhancing STEM research and promoting STEM curriculum development for K-16, responding to regional needs for STEM-prepared graduates, and other related efforts. The Center will serve as a regional coordinating resource for STEM efforts. In order to provide support to the Center, California State University, Dominguez Hills anticipates hiring nine new STEM (or STEAM) tenure-track faculty positions in the 2014-15 academic year. Positions will be in Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Information Science, Global Logistics, Health Sciences: Epidemiology, and Education. This new cluster hire of faculty will have the opportunity to join other STEM faculty on campus to work on collaborative STEM-related projects in the new CISE center, as well as with K-12 and community college partners and business and industry leaders.
