1-Year Sabbatical Replacement, Rhodes College, Memphis TN

The Department of Physics at Rhodes College invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position beginning Fall 2016. Successful applicants will be enthusiastic teachers capable of instruction at all levels of a rigorous undergraduate physics curriculum in both classroom and laboratory settings. The teaching load is 3 courses each semester. The physics department resides in a recently renovated building with new research and teaching spaces, and a 20-inch telescope. Research is encouraged and there is potential for some support, including faculty professional travel funds. Applicants should hold or expect to receive the Ph.D. in physics, or a closely related field, by July 2016.
