Sarah Lawrence College seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member to begin in the fall of 2016.  A Ph.D. in physics or a closely allied discipline completed by the time of appointment, evidence of success as a teacher, and the ability to teach a wide array of undergraduate courses are required.  Candidates with any specialty in physics but broad interests in the subject, its curricular development, and its interdisciplinary connections are especially encouraged to apply.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and supervising undergraduate student research in physics.
