Position: Assistant Professor – Physics
Qualifications: PhD in Physics or Physical Chemistry is required. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to and evidence of quality undergraduate teaching, research, and ability to develop courses related to his/her field.
Position Description: The successful candidate will organize and instruct the one-year core Physics courses (General Physics I and II with labs) required for students majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Earth Science and Health Sciences. Teaching responsibilities will include 12 load credits per semester teaching lecture and lab (3/4 credit) courses. Additional expectations include a demonstrated ability for engaging students in research, academic advisement, service to the university, and continued professional development. Applicants must submit evidence of quality undergraduate teaching and student mentoring. Review of applications will begin immediately.
