TT, Albion College MI

The Department of Physics at Albion College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2016. The department is undertaking a substantial revision of our Introductory Physics for the Life Sciences course, and candidates with relevant teaching and research experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Teaching is central to the College’s mission and includes a teaching load of three courses per semester. The department values mentoring of students through teaching, advising, and faculty-student research, and a strong candidate will have demonstrated ability to maintain an ongoing scholarship program at Albion College.  
 Qualifications:
The position requires completion of a Ph.D. in any area of Physics by the time of appointment. Demonstrated ability to teach Physics courses and laboratories at both the introductory and advanced levels is required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary courses that enhance the College community through our Honors, First-Year Seminar, and General Education programs.
