The Engineering & Physics Department at St. Ambrose University invites applications for a ten month full-time laboratory coordinator with teaching responsibilities to begin August 1.
Responsibilities include: teaching up to 6 contact hours per semester in the Engineering and Physics Department; managing laboratory, workspace, and storage rooms for the Engineering and Physics Department including procurement, inventorying, and maintenance of equipment and tools; developing and enforcing lab safety and neatness policies and procedures; supervising, training, and assisting student workers in the preparation of materials for laboratory experiments; assisting with Engineering camps, events, and student clubs and organizations. Responsibilities may include academic advising for Industrial and Mechanical Engineering students.
Minimum requirements for consideration are a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering or related field. A master’s of science degree in engineering, previous teaching and laboratory experience, and experience working with manufacturing tools is preferred.
