Description
The Physics Department of Lafayette College, a highly selective undergraduate liberal arts institution with programs in the arts, sciences, social sciences, and engineering, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for academic year 2019-20. Lafayette College is located in Easton, Pennsylvania, 70 miles from New York City and 60 miles from Philadelphia.
We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate should be able to teach introductory physics effectively in classroom and laboratory environments, and may also teach intermediate or advanced courses in physics or astronomy, depending on the candidate's areas of interest. Candidates will teach three courses per semester.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field is preferred, but ABD candidates will also be considered.
