Job Description
Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in the Department of Physics beginning in Fall 2019.
A Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent is required and a post-doctoral experience in the fields of physics including, but not limited to, quantum optics, condensed matter physics, photonics and quantum information science is preferred. Previous experience in teaching undergraduate physics classes, in particular, introductory calculus and algebra based physics is also strongly desired. Teaching possibilities will include undergraduate and graduate level lecture and laboratory courses in physics and optics. We seek an energetic individual who is eager to teach undergraduates including non-physics majors and to explore and develop new teaching methods and technologies.
Successful applicants are also expected to play a leading role in the quantum education mission within the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering.
