RESPONSIBILITIES
&
EXPECTATIONS An enthusiastic, student- and learning-centered approach to
teaching is required, and research-based best practices in
education and assessment are expected. Primary responsibilities are to
teach all level of undergraduate Physics courses and managing labs.
Other responsibilities include student advising and mentoring, active
participation in recruitment of students, continued professional
development and participation in Departmental and campus committees.
QUALIFICATIONS A PhD. in Physics or a related field is
required; ABD will he considered. Teaching experience at the college level is expected.
SALARY Contingent upon qualifications.
DEPARTMENT This position is in the Department of Mathematics
& Physics. The department provides majors in 3+2 Engineering,
Mathematics and Math teaching. Courses taught by the faculty member in
this position are required for these majors, and are options for non
majors seeking general education requirements.
